Black Stars update: Gyan trains solo, KPB misses training

Asamoah Gyan
Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan has resumed training at the Baba Yara Stadium ahead of Friday's match against Zambia but he is working with the ball and not with the main group.

Gyan limped out of Tuesday's training session at the Accra Sports Stadium with a thigh strain which was thought to be serious but it seems he could be fit for Friday.

However, Kevin-Prince Boateng did not train with the team today and there are no clear indications as to why.

He came out of the dressing room for a walk around the pitch and returned. He was with Adam Kwarasey who, on the other hand, is ruled out of the game with a hip injury sustained on Tuesday in training.

The Black Stars are training are being watched by thousands of fans at the Stadium even though the security around the match venue is very strict.
