Black Stars arrive in Kumasi to an ecstatic welcome

The way the supports welcome the Stars in Kumasi
Expectant fans in Kumasi massed up at the Kumasi airport to welcome the senior national team the Black Stars to the Garden City.

Clad in national colours, amidst drumming and dancing, the fans held up large banners of Kevin-Prince Boateng, Andre Ayew and Asamoah Gyan. Particular cheer was reserved for national team coach Kwasi Appiah.

Officials of the regional Football Association led by its President Osei Tutu Asare and various support groups were at the airport about an hour before the team arrived.

The team will be staying at the Golden Tulip Hotel ahead of their training session today at 4pm. The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II will visit the team at training tomorrow.

Ghana’s opponents Zambia will arrive tomorrow on a chartered flight.
